Winter walks, drinks by the fire, bright lights, cosy nights in and intimate gatherings with old friends – the festive season is finally upon us. We’re spreading a little joy with a few of our favourite things: crowd-pleasing sweet treats, here’s-one-I-made-earlier cocktails to prepare in advance and no-brainer gift ideas to put you in a merry mood. A FESTIVE DESSERT
Expecting lots of guests this holiday? Easy to slice up and serve, our indulgent Botanist Cherry Chocolate Loaf Cake is twist on a Christmas classic.
This festive favourite can also be made in advance, frozen and then defrosted on the day - simply add the topping and you’re good to go.
The Botanist Christmas Martini
Aptly named, this holiday signature serve is merry and bright thanks to the appearance of seasonal cranberries and rosemary.
BATCHED CHRISTMAS MARTINI
Simple to make, if you’ve got some extra time we recommend ‘frosting’ some cranberries (dipping them in simple syrup and rolling in sugar) to add a little extra sparkle to your glass.
Ingredients
600ml The Botanist
240ml water
120ml dry vermouth
50g cranberries
3 sprigs rosemary
Method
Stir all ingredients together in a large mixing glass or jug
Freeze in a clip-top bottle or similar suitable for the freezer
Strain chilled mixture into a Nick and Nora glass.
Garnish with cranberries and a sprig of rosemary
