This month, we’re celebrating B Corp Month, plus tapping into a trend everyone can try at home: savoury cocktails.

We have three original cocktail recipes, created by our Global Brand Ambassador, Abi Clephane, for you to try, plus plenty of ideas for (B Corp certified) snacks to go with them.

DID SOMEBODY SAY SAVOURY?

With an emphasis on surprising flavours and ingredients, savoury cocktails are having a major moment.

Spicy & Rested

Featuring our favourite jalapeño hot honey recipe, our Spicy & Rested cocktail packs a punch. You can buy hot honey but we recommend making your own - not only is it easy to whip up but it tastes great on pizza, ice cream or a salad.

Serve with Mexican-inspired snacks: we like fellow B Corp certified Luchito chips and tomatillo salsa, and Holy Moly smashed avocado.

Gilda-tini

For a salty sip with a kick, our Gilda Martini uses savoury Fino sherry and chilli vinegar.

Peckish? For simple, no-brainer snacks, we recommend pairing with some Spanish-inspired tapas: B Corp certified Properchips salt and vinegar flavour, Real Foods by Organico olives or Fish4Ever anchovies.

Tahini Frappé

In our recent interview with chef Christina Soteriou, she praised tahini, a ‘versatile ingredient’ that can be used to make salad dressings, sauces and soups. Although savoury, it also pairs very well with sweet ingredients like chocolate and maple syrup, both of which feature in our Tahini Frappé.

We recommend using high-quality tahini from fellow B Corp certified brand Belazu. You can use the leftover tahini to make Ottolenghi’s Tahini and halva brownies or Christina’s No Bake Fudgy Chocolate Log.

It's B Corp Month

B Corp Certified since 2020

In 2020, we became the first Scotch whisky and gin distillery in Europe to achieve B Corp certification. The B Corp movement was established to help mission-driven businesses protect and improve their positive impact over time, and we’re proud to be part of this global community of organisations using their business as a force for good.

Below are five B Corp facts you might not know about us:

1. 100% of the energy we use on site is from renewable sources

2. The spent botanicals used in The Botanist are repurposed into compost and fertiliser which goes back into our land

3. Our two full-time foragers have mapped newly found areas of botanicals into The Botanist Geographic Information System (GIS)

4. As part of our long-tern juniper propagation project, we are currently caring for 60 plants that will be carefully reestablished in the wild

5. Across the Bruichladdich Distillery team, we have collectively clocked up approximately 940 hours of volunteering
