In this Southside Gimlet, The Botanist adds a strong backbone and balance to a refreshing seasonal take on a classic cocktail garnished with a lime wheel and pink peppercorns.

Ingredients

  • 60ml/2oz The Botanist Islay Dry Gin
  • 20ml/0.75oz Fresh lime juice
  • 20ml/0.75oz Simple syrup
  • 6-8 Mint leaves
  • Dash of orange bitters
  • A lime wheel and pink peppercorns

Method

  1. In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle 6-8 mint leaves with the simple syrup
  2. Add The Botanist, orange bitters and lime with ice and shake until well-chilled
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass
  4. Empty the ice out of the glass
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel and pink peppercorns
