The Botanist: Shipping Information

Sales of products from the global online distillery shop, which sits within the www.thebotanist.com website, are operated by Mail Marketing (UK) Limited (“we”). We are registered in Scotland under company number SC171868 and with our registered office at 42 Methil Street, Glasgow, Scotland G14 0SZ.

All gins sold by The Botanist Online Shop are sold subject to UK taxes.

As a result of Brexit, additional charges will be applied to all orders shipping to countries within the EU. These will include a £4.50 (including UK VAT) Brexit Surcharge from our courier, and an additional £6 (including UK VAT) for Customs Clearance that is payable at checkout. These will show as a handling charge in your order. Please note that packages above €150 may be liable to additional import charges on delivery which will be payable by the customer. Exporting products to an address in the EU are subject to the appropriate rate of tax depending on the delivery country (and an alcohol tax).

Orders for delivery to addresses in Finland will not include VAT at the checkout, with taxes due to be paid by the customer upon delivery. Please contact your local customs office for further information. Orders to Estonia will not be charged VAT and all orders will be shipped on a duties and taxes unpaid service. Local sales taxes and duties will be payable upon arrival, which are levied at the time the package clears customs. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country.  Please contact your local customs office for further information. We also cannot refund any customs charges in the case of a return or refund.

We are currently unable to ship gin products to Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and Turkey. If you reside in any of these countries but wish to ship orders to another country within the EU (or other countries that we fulfil to) that is still possible. Simply fill in your billing address as normal at checkout and select to deliver to a different address. Orders of merchandise only can be delivered to addresses within Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden and Turkey.

The global online distillery shop ships to the following States within the USA for Distillery Exclusives and other releases.

Alaska, California, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wyoming.

All prices for products will be displayed in GBP. Orders will be subject to taxes, shipping costs and shipping taxes. These are based on your basket contents and can be viewed prior to purchase within checkout process.

Customers in the United States are also able to purchase certain The Botanist products from licenced retailers within the Reserve Bar network at https://www.reservebar.com/collections/the-botanist. This means that purchases will be fulfilled and shipped within the US, with lower charges and faster delivery than shipping overseas from Scotland*.

Shipping through The Botanist Reserve Bar-powered platform is available to the following States, but State availability by product may vary within the full range of releases available:

All orders are fulfilled and delivered by licensed retailers within the Reserve Bar network, with a Ground Shipping delivery window of 5-7 Business Days (Monday-Friday). Transactions are made directly with Reserve Bar, including Shipping Costs and Timescales, and subject to the Reserve Bar Terms and Conditions and Delivery terms.

*Neither The Botanist or Mail Marketing (UK) Limited are responsible for the delivery of orders through the Reserve Bar network and therefore does not and cannot guarantee costs and timescales.

We can currently ship to:

Australia, Canada (Alberta only), Guernsey, Hong Kong SAR (China), Isle of Man, Japan, Jersey, Macao SAR (China), Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan Region and Thailand.

We are currently unable to ship gin products to Brazil, China, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and United Arab Emirates. If you reside in any of these countries but wish to ship orders to other countries that we fulfil to, that is still possible.
